Learn About Our Plans
Three plans to choose from:
Community CCRxSM is committed to offering the best Medicare Part D plans to our members while keeping costs low. Our formulary is designed by an independent team focused on seniors' health needs.
With Community CCRx, you also get a plan dedicated to serving you. We understand the important role a pharmacist plays in your care, which is why we have made his or her involvement central to our plan. Constant updates and pharmacist consultation are just two of the ways in which we ensure your care is put in the hands of professionals. And with a network of more than 63,000 pharmacies nationwide, you can have your prescriptions filled whether you are at home or traveling.
If you are interested in enrolling in a Community CCRx Medicare Part D plan in 2008, we offer three plans designed to provide the best coverage depending on your needs. Remember, that if you were enrolled with CCRx in 2007, you do not need to re-enroll for 2008.
When you consider the cost of your plan, you should not only look at the amount you will pay each month — your premium — but also the amount you’ll pay before your plan starts to share in your costs — called your deductible. Just as important is the amount that you’ll pay for your medicines, after you have paid the deductible — called your co-pay or coinsurance. Different Community CCRx plans have different costs, and not all plans have a deductible.

The Coverage
Deductible phase: The period of time where you pay a set amount before prescription drug coverage begins.
Initial coverage phase: The period of time where you have prescription drug coverage and you pay a co-pay or coinsurance for each prescription. This phase lasts until you and Community CCRx reach a set limit in drug spending.
Coverage gap phase: Also called the "donut hole," this is the period of time when you are responsible for paying the full cost of your medicines unless you are enrolled in Community CCRx Gold, which has coverage on generic medicines in the gap.
Catastrophic coverage phase: The period of time, after you reach a total of $4,050 in out-of-pocket spending, when you pay a minimal amount for your generic and brand-name prescription medicines.
More about the Donut Hole
Q. How do I know when I’ve reached the donut hole?
A. We send you monthly statements that track the total program spending, so you always know where you stand. Or, you can call customer service for an update at any time.
Q. How can I avoid reaching the donut hole?
A. Use generic medicines! Community CCRx’s plans cover generics with little or no co-payment. By using generics, you won’t reach the donut hole as quickly, or, in some cases, at all. Talk to your pharmacist about generics.
